NursesTracey Atherton Tracey is our senior practice nurse and has the lead role in coronary heart disease prevention and treatment, as well as the usual nursing duties. She works at the surgery on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Debbie Swaddle Debbie has the lead role for asthma and COPD management, as well as the usual nursing duties. She is at the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Janette Ward Janette is available for care of diabetics, as well as the usual nursing duties. She is available at the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Carol Menzies Carol is available for all the usual nursing duties. She is at the surgery on Wednesdays and Fridays.
As well as the above duties, our Practice Nurses are available for a comprehensive range of other services. They are able to offer wound dressing, vaccinations and immunisations, dietary advice, ECGs, smoking cessation advice, contraception advice, weight management, ear syringing, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring and other services.

Trish and Sue are our part-time managers. Both are available if you need help with a problem that a receptionist is unable to deal with. Any complaints should be referred to Mrs. Statham in the first instance.
Health Care AssistantsDiane Clulow Joanne Renshaw
Our Health Care Assistant posts are still being developed. Di and Jo are available for blood pressure checks, blood tests, smoking cessation advice, weight management, ECGs and minor dressings. We expect this role to expand in the future as they become more established.

Our receptionists work hard at a job that is very busy and very stressful. They aim to be polite at all times. We have receptionist interpreters available for Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi speakers.

Jean is available for routine antenatal care and also does postnatal visits after the birth of your baby. Appointments can be booked via reception. District Nurses: Sarah Considine Jeanette Freeman Linda Hill Claire House
Jeanette heads the team of district nurses. They are all experts in organising home nursing care for those who are housebound (mainly the very elderly but also those with disabilities, and terminal care). District nursing care is arranged through your doctor. Messages for the district nurses can be left with a receptionist. CPNs: Becky Fagan Joginder Roberts-Downing
Joginder is fluent in Urdu and has an interest in exercise and health. Becky does generic counselling. Referral for a CPN is through your doctor. Health Visitors: Fiona Banton Lesley Beighton
Fiona Banton and Lesley Beighton are full time with the surgery. They hold regular clinics at the surgery and can be contacted via Cross Street Clinic or by leaving a message at the surgery. Lesley is also able to carry out the eight-week baby examinations and baby immunisations. |
